Abstract: Gun violence, or the threat of it, is a reality of everyday life for most Americans. Despite the widespread impact of gun violence, there is little research concerning data gun manufacturing, advertising, and violence. The purpose of this research is to examine geographic features including rates of gun violence such as race, wealth, age, hospital capacity, gun manufacturing, religious congregations, and gun ownership. This project along with ones exploring gun manufacturing and advertising aims to provide a broader perspective of the past and current state of guns in the US. Exploring these relationships further informs potential policy decisions.
